About Us - Peppol.now | Showcase of reliable e-invoicing providers

What Peppol.now is — and what it isn't

Peppol.now is an independent showcase of reliable e-invoicing providers. We bring providers together in one place, make them comparable, and offer background knowledge to help you understand what works for your situation.

What Peppol.now is

An information and comparison platform for businesses, institutions and public bodies that want to understand what e-invoicing means for them — and which provider fits their needs.

What Peppol.now is not

We are not a software vendor, not an Access Point, not a helpdesk, and not a consultancy. We sell nothing, implement nothing, and earn nothing from referrals.

Why this platform exists

E-invoicing is becoming mandatory in a growing number of countries. Businesses need to make a choice. And that choice is far from straightforward — not because the technology is so complex, but because the information is so fragmented.

Anyone researching Peppol runs into three problems. Most explanations are written by parties trying to sell something. Government communications are accurate but rarely practical. And the gap between technology, policy and day-to-day business operations is seldom bridged.

That was the motivation for Peppol.now: a place where information stands apart from commercial interest. Where you can find a provider based on what that provider actually does — not based on who paid the most for visibility. And where you, as a decision-maker, understand what you're choosing before you choose it.

E-invoicing is not an IT project. It is a business decision — with implications for administration, supply chains and cash flow. Peppol.now helps you make that decision on solid grounds.

How we safeguard our independence

Independence is not a marketing claim — it is a design choice. We earn money, but not at the expense of clarity.

Providers can be visible on Peppol.now through a partnership arrangement. They pay a fee for that. This allows us to keep the platform free for everyone looking for an e-invoicing solution.

How we maintain the separation

Partners do not determine the content of the platform. They do not control what information we publish, how we structure comparison criteria, or what we write about their market. Premium partners receive greater visibility — but all providers are searchable and comparable on exactly the same criteria. Our knowledge base and articles are editorially independent. Always.

We do not earn from leads, transactions or referrals to specific providers. If a provider is not the right fit for your situation, we say so — whether you arrived via a partner profile or via a search engine.

Our reputation is our business model. If it is damaged because we steer rather than inform, the platform loses its value. That pressure works in your favour.

Who takes responsibility for it

Peppol.now is built by two people who know this domain from practice — not from a vendor perspective, but from years of work inside organisations going through digital transitions.

Justin de Jager
Justin de Jager
Co-founder & Strategic Adviser

Justin spent years working on digital transitions in the public sector — from ministries to executive agencies. What he saw time and again: organisations unable to make the right decision because the available explanation was too technical, too commercial or too abstract. Peppol.now is his response to that structural problem.

At Peppol.now he and Wouter jointly set the direction. His day-to-day focus is on relationship management, sales, marketing and content.

"If it can't be explained simply, something is wrong — either with the explanation, or with the solution."
Wouter Scholten
Wouter Scholten
Co-founder & Senior Adviser

Wouter spent 17 years working on digitisation challenges in both the public and private sector, specialising in data exchange, e-invoicing and e-procurement. He knows the Peppol network from the inside — including the places where explanations fall short and where organisations make the wrong choices due to incomplete information.

At Peppol.now he and Justin jointly set the direction. His day-to-day focus is on technical management of the platform, development and ongoing improvement of the tooling, and financial operations.

"The best solution is the one you don't have to explain to your users. But to find it, you first have to understand the question."

About the platform
What exactly is Peppol.now? +

Peppol.now is an independent showcase of reliable e-invoicing providers. We bring providers together in one place, make them comparable, and offer background knowledge on the Peppol network and European e-invoicing obligations. We are not a software vendor, not an Access Point, and not a helpdesk.

Is Peppol.now truly independent? +

Yes. Providers pay for visibility on the platform, but this has no influence on how we structure comparison criteria or what content we publish. Partners do not determine our editorial direction. All providers are searchable on exactly the same criteria — regardless of their partnership level. We do not earn from leads or referrals.

How does Peppol.now generate revenue? +

Providers pay a fee to be visible on the platform. This allows us to keep Peppol.now free for anyone looking for an e-invoicing solution. We do not earn from leads, referrals or transactions.

Who is behind Peppol.now? +

Peppol.now is an initiative of Solventis B.V., founded by Justin de Jager and Wouter Scholten. Both have extensive experience with digital transitions in the public and private sector, specialising in data exchange and e-invoicing. They are personally reachable at info@solventis.nl.

Using the platform
How do I use the provider comparison tool? +

Via the provider comparison tool you can compare over 100 Peppol solution providers on criteria such as integrations, country support, target audience and certifications. Filter by your situation and view profiles side by side. The tool is informational — for a final decision, we recommend contacting multiple providers directly.

Can I check whether a company is reachable via Peppol? +

Yes. Via the Peppol Address Book you can search by name or registration number to check whether an organisation is already connected to the Peppol network. This address book is based on the official Peppol Directory.

Does Peppol.now answer personal questions about my specific situation? +

Not for free. Peppol.now is an information platform, not a helpdesk. The knowledge base and FAQ already answer most questions. If you do need personal advice, that is possible via Solventis — at a rate of €150 excl. VAT per hour, with a minimum of 30 minutes. Get in touch via info@solventis.nl.

Becoming a partner
How can I add my solution to Peppol.now? +

Our partner page contains all information about the available partnership packages: Basic, Professional and Premium. You can register directly — we will then get in touch to set up your profile together.

Does a partnership affect how my profile is presented? +

Partners receive greater visibility on the platform — a more detailed profile and a higher position in overviews. But the comparison criteria apply equally to everyone. Visitors can filter and compare all providers in the same way, regardless of partnership level.

Contact and reports
I found an error. How do I report it? +

Send an email to info@solventis.nl with the URL of the page and a brief description of what is incorrect or outdated. We take this seriously and respond as quickly as possible.
