Peppol.now: The Platform

One of the services Solventis provides is independent advisory services about software providers and services connected to the Peppol network. With the launch of Peppol.now, Solventis offers the first information and comparison platform about Peppol and Peppol service providers.

Innovative Platform: Currently, the finishing touches are being put on the advanced comparison module, where providers of Peppol technology and/or services are compared on functionalities and services selected by us.

Additionally, Solventis offers the opportunity for Peppol providers to present themselves as partners. The plan is to close these partnerships in the coming months and generate revenue in this way.

Your Assignment as Marketing & Sales Intern

As Marketing & Sales intern, you get the chance to work on increasing the brand awareness of Peppol.now and generating leads within at least the Benelux market and preferably also beyond. The focus is on digital marketing, content strategy and sales optimization.

What will you do?

  • Develop marketing and sales strategy for promoting Peppol and our consultancy services
  • Conduct market research into (inter)national market opportunities, focusing on companies that want to implement e-invoicing
  • Optimize lead generation through inbound marketing (SEO, content, social media)
  • Set up social media campaigns to inform entrepreneurs about Peppol and e-invoicing
  • Analyze data - analyze customer data and sales funnels and make improvement suggestions
  • Conduct graduation research on a relevant theme (if desired)

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for an enthusiastic student who gets energy from digital marketing and sales, and who wants to contribute to the growth of an innovative platform.

Proactive Attitude
An independent student with a marketing or sales background who takes initiative and shows ownership.
Digital Affinity
Affinity with digital technology, e-commerce or digital data exchange and data sharing.
Strong Communicator
Good communication skills in both Dutch and English, both oral and written.
Technical Experience (Plus)
Experience with SEO, social media marketing, or CRM systems is a plus but not required.
Ideal Candidate: You are eager to learn, driven and want to gain experience in a dynamic environment where innovation and digitalization are central. You see challenges as opportunities and are not afraid to learn new things.

If desired, you can combine your internship with graduation research. We have identified three relevant research directions that directly contribute to our strategic goals:

E-invoicing Adoption among SME Companies
Research Question: What factors influence the adoption of e-invoicing and Peppol among SME companies in the Netherlands and Belgium?
This research focuses on the barriers and benefits that SME entrepreneurs experience when switching to e-invoicing via Peppol. This can include technical, financial and awareness-related challenges. Additionally, interviews and surveys with SMEs can provide insight into what would convince them.
Relevance: This research can help improve marketing and sales strategies for e-invoicing solutions.

Digital Identity as USP
Research Question: How can digital identity (iDIN, eHerkenning) be used as USP to make Peppol services more attractive and accessible for companies?
This research focuses on the commercial value of digital identity within Peppol services. It analyzes how verification methods like iDIN and eHerkenning can contribute to faster and more secure customer onboarding. It also examines how competitors handle identity verification and which market positioning would be most effective.
Relevance: This research helps determine a distinctive market strategy and can directly contribute to the positioning and sales of Peppol services.

Industry-specific Growth Opportunities
Research Question: Which industries offer the greatest commercial opportunities for Peppol service providers, and what specific market strategies are needed to reach them?
This research identifies the sectors where the need for Peppol and e-invoicing is greatest. Think of logistics, retail, government, healthcare, construction, and accounting. For each industry, we look at the degree of digitalization, legislation, pain points in the invoicing process and the commercial opportunities for Peppol-based solutions.
Relevance: This research supports strategic decisions about target markets, marketing messages and product adaptations to optimally respond to the specific needs of different sectors.
