Adoption of e-invoicing and Peppol among SMEs: barriers and drivers Research question: What factors influence the adoption of e-invoicing and Peppol among SMEs in the Netherlands and Belgium? Description: This research focuses on the barriers and benefits that SME entrepreneurs experience when switching to e-invoicing via Peppol. These may include technical, financial, and awareness-related challenges. Additionally, interviews and surveys with SMEs can provide insight into what would convince them. Relevance: This research can help improve marketing and sales strategies for e-invoicing solutions. 2. Digital identification (iDIN, eHerkenning) as a Unique Selling Point for Peppol service providers Research question: How can digital identification (iDIN, eHerkenning) be used as a USP to make Peppol services more attractive and accessible to companies? Description: This research focuses on the commercial value of digital identification within Peppol services. It analyzes how verification methods such as iDIN and eHerkenning can contribute to faster and more secure customer onboarding. It also examines how competitors handle identity verification and which market positioning would be most effective. A benchmark study and discussions with potential customers can provide insight into the main purchasing motives regarding identification and authentication within Peppol. Relevance: This research helps determine a distinctive market strategy and can directly contribute to the positioning and sales of Peppol services. 3. Industry-specific growth opportunities for Peppol services: commercial opportunities and market strategy Research question: Which industries offer the greatest commercial opportunities for Peppol service providers, and what specific market strategies are needed to reach them? Description: This research identifies the sectors where the need for Peppol and e-invoicing is greatest. Consider logistics, retail, government, healthcare, construction, and accountancy. For each industry, the research looks at the degree of digitization, legislation and regulations, pain points in the invoicing process, and commercial opportunities for Peppol-based solutions. This can be substantiated with interviews, data analysis, and competitive research. Relevance: This research supports strategic decisions about target markets, marketing messages, and product adjustments to optimally respond to the specific needs of different sectors.

One of the services Solventis offers is independent advice on software suppliers and services connected to the Peppol network. With the launch of Peppol.nu, Solventis offers the first information and comparison platform for Peppol and Peppol service providers.
Currently, the finishing touches are being put on the advanced comparison module, where suppliers of Peppol technology and/or services are compared based on the functionalities and services we have selected.

The Assignment
As a Marketing & Sales intern, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to increasing brand awareness of Peppol.nu and generating leads within at least the Benelux market and preferably beyond. The focus is on digital marketing, content strategy, and sales optimization.
You will:
· Develop a marketing and sales strategy for promoting Peppol and our consultancy services.
Analyze customer data and sales funnels and make improvement proposals.
